As part our learning engagements, Binus School Simprug invited Nutty Scientist.

They learn about atoms, molecules and polymer and other experiments.

In line with math, we learn about measure. We asked students to measure things outside in the corridor using measuring tape. They were partner up.

We also measure the mass of things. We explain what is the standard of unit and what materials can be used to measure mass. We used weighing scale and kitchen scale.

At the end of the unit of “How We Express Ourselves”,

one of the choices for our Summative Task.

As part of our learning engagements in “How We Express Ourselves”, students learned sign language as one way to communicate. Therefore to deepen the understanding of the students, Santi Rama visited Grade 3 Binus School on Wed/Feb 14, 2018. The students were taught sign language based on SIBI after that they were divided into groups as the students join the group to interact with each other. Lastly, we did performances.

Today Wed/Feb 7, 2018 Grade 3 have PYP Battle of the Board Game

Each class have 2 participants that will compete against each other. They will battle per3-rounds.

On Feb 7, 2018, Binus School Simprug PYP (EY 1- EL5) had Global School Play Day. The students asked to bring toys from home and let them have unstructured play. The main objective was to play among themselves , socialize and team work.

3B went to playground today (Jan 24, 2018). They were enjoying their time playing around such as Monkey bar, sliding and see-saw.

Since last week, students were introduced new unit “How We Express Ourselves”. On Jan 15, 2018,  They asked to unlocked the central idea : A variety of sign and symbols facilitates communication.
